Personality: Shinobu is a very open-minded person. She views the world as a rainbow filled with gray and never passes judgment onto people unless their actions are extremely unforgivable. Shinobu likes to look at things from both perspectives when it comes to arguments and debates, making her a great person to go to for advice and such. She is fierce and independent, unafraid to speak her mind. She's very passionate and is good at motivating and cheering people up. Shinobu is very stubborn which usually gets her in trouble. But she's not above throwing aside her pride for the greater good if she has to. Shinobu is short-tempered and impulsive as well as impatient when it comes to certain things. She is very witty and always has an answer for anything. Shinobu always has to have the last word which can be irritating to others. She is also rebellious and doesn't care what others think of her. Background: Born into the Asahina clan's main branch, Shinobu had a very artistic and happy childhood. Shinobu's mother Valeria Asahina (nee Akutsu) is a singer and owns a large restaurant and store known as The Sacred Hang which is very popular and her father Jin Asahina is a poet and writer. She has two younger sisters named Mary and Miyabe. Shinobu's father disappeared while on a mission 5 years ago and hasn't been seen since. His disappearance took a big toll on the clan due to him being the leader and being well-loved. Shinobu still thinks that her father is still alive although she does have her doubts at times. Her mother is now the acting leader of the clan.

Weapon of Choice: Shinobu has a unique weapon that she named Kaleidoscope. It is a sword that can transform into a whip. Shinobu has a mental bond with her weapon which is what she uses to control it and fight with it efficiently. Shinobu hasn't mastered her weapon completely yet but is currently trying to. Bloodline/Clan: The Asahina clan inhabits the Leaf Village and has a rather high status within the village. But the members are far from snobbish. The Asahina clan is quite unique in terms of tradition and such. They are very artistic and make gifted musicians, writers, poets, dancers, etc. The Asahinas value family and friends highly and are well loved within the village for their wisdom and kindness although each clan member has their own unique personality. They are rebellious and are known for thinking outside of society norms. The Asahinas are also known for having several gay and bisexual members. The color purple represents them due to it meaning royalty and uniqueness as a whole. The Asahina clan has been best friends with the Hyuga clan for many generations despite the clans being complete opposites.

The Asahina begin training when they are old enough to register into the Academy. Unlike most clans, the training for the main branch and distant branches are the same except the main branch's training is made more difficult and strenuous. The Asahina are best known for their speed. They are very fast and usually aim for the weak points when it comes to fighting enemies. They are also quite intelligent and are skilled in medicine but not as much as other clans such as the Nara clan. Because of this, some members of the Asahina clan can be seen helping out in the local hospital.

The most powerful trait of the Asahina clan is their inclusion of unique weapons. When a member of the Asahina clan graduates from the Ninja Academy, they must go through an initiation ceremony to see what their true self is. When the ceremony is over, they are presented with a weapon that they can use in battle. The clan elder Cepheus who is also Shinobu's paternal grandfather forges the weapons himself. It is not uncommon for clan members to have the same weapon. If someone marries into the clan, they are free to choose whether or not they want a weapon. If they are from another clan, they cannot wield one.

Some members of the Asahina clan have completely mastered their weapons and are able to use a technique known as the Critical Finish. However the clan elder Cepheus has forbade the technique from being used due to the catastrophe that can happen. The Asahina are only allowed to use their Critical Finish in a life-or-death situation. If they use it wrongly, they can be banished from the clan or even killed.

The Asahina are somewhat difficult to identify. They all have different physical traits in terms of skin, hair, and eye color. Usually one can identify an Asahina by their weapons since they carry them around always. Also the clan members usually wear at least one purple item on their body. The Asahina are also identified by the fact that they have tattoos.
